Built 1836-1840 by Giuseppe Pardini, for the citizens's group Accademia degli Animosi, on grounds donated by Domenico Maria Micheli. Opened 26 Dec 1840 with Aurelio Nota's play Donna Ambiziosa. The building contains the main theatre hall and the concert hall Sala del Ridotto. (English)
