Built 1969-1973 after plans by Hans Scharoun. Opened 5 Oct 1973 as Theater Wolfsburg with Henrik Ibsen's play Nora. 883 seats (777 for musical theatre) + 120 standing. 2017 named Scharoun-Theater Wolfsburg in honour of its architect, Hans Scharoun (1893-1972). Used mostly for touring productions. (English)
