Opened 4 Sep 1922. Named after the industrialist George Eastman (1854-1932) who funded the building. Used as concert hall of the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester and as a cinema. 2002 renovations and rebuilding. Originally 3372 seats, now 2260 seats. Home to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Eastman Opera Theatre. (English)
