Built 1895-1899 by Nikolay Nikitich Durbakh (interior decoration until 1907). Opened 1899 as municipal theatre of the city of Nakhichevan-na-Donu (which was merged with Rostov-na-Donu in 1928). From 1929 used as youth theatre, from 1945 to 1957 used as comedy theatre, from 1957 again used as youth theatre. First named Teatr imeni Leninskovo Komsomola (Lenin Komsomol Theatre), later Molodezhny Teatr (Children's Theatre). (English)
