Built 1881. In the 20th century, used as a cinema and as a ballroom. 1938 and 1996 major restorations. Re-opened 18 May 1996 as Théâtre de Copiaus, named in honor of the French actor and theatre director, Jacques Copeau (1879-1949), after whom the actors of his troupe were nicknamed les Copiaus in his home village of Pernand Vergelesses (Bourgogne).
