Amateur Theatre, built 1796-1799 by Carl von Stein (a son of Goethe's friend Charlotte von Stein whose family owned Kochberg Palace), by converting a garden house. Originally used for amateur drama productions. Also known as Goethetheater. 1975 major renovation to the original plans. Currently used for theatre performances, concerts, and recitals. (English)
