Bellissimo teatro barocco annesso all’edificio dell’Accademia Virgiliana. Fu eretto nel 1769 su disegno dell’architetto Antonio Galli Bibiena. E’ utilizzato per manifestazioni culturali varie. (Italian)

Built 1767-1769 by Antonio Galli Bibiena for a private club, the Academia Vergiliana. Also known as Teatro Bibiena after its architect. Inaugurated 3 Dec 1769. On 16 Jan 1770, site of a concert by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with his father Leopold Mozart. 1972 renovations. Originally used for theatre performances, concerts, festive doctorate ceremonies, anatomic postmortems, and regular sessions of the Academy. Currently used for concerts and congresses. Ca. 200 seats.
