Built 1786 by Francesco Tarducci for the Accademia Teatrale. Opened as Teatro del Sole. 1856-1858 renovations and additions by Giovanni Caproni. Re-opened 1858 as Teatro Cesare Caporali in hounor of the Italian poet, Cesare Caporali (1530-1601). 1921 restorations. (English)
