Built 1938 as Mayo Civic Auditorium, donated by Charles H. Mayo and Mayo Properties Association (Mayo Clinic). Various major extensions and rebuildings. Used as a multi-purpose convention, sports and cultural center. The complex contains a ballroom, an arena (7200 seats), an auditorium (3000 seats), Presentation Hall (a theatre with 1084 seats), exhibition space and various function rooms. (English)
