Built 1545-1549 by A. Ottenbach as Tuchhalle (fabric warehouse). Ca. 1637 war damages and rebuilding. 1851 interior rebuilding as a theatre by J. A. Romberg for the Theaterbauverein. 1951-1957 renovations and alterations by G. Wolf, extension by a foyer wing. 1986 interior renovations and alterations. 1991-1992 exterior renovation. (English)
