Opened 1938 as Earl Carroll Theater, a theatre and supper club. 1953 renamed Frank Sennes Moulin Rouge, 1965 Hullabaloo, 1968 Kaleidoscope and Aquarius Theater, 1977 Longhorn Theatre and Sunset Boulevard Theatre, 1993 Chevy Chase Theatre. In the 1960s used as a venue for rock concerts. Ca. 1968 redesigned by Michael Baugh. Subsequently mainly used for musical performances. From 1997 used as TV studio Nickelodeon on Sunset. Closed 2017. (English)
