Opened 27 Oct 1856 with Meyerbeer's Robert le Diable. 1918 donated to a public foundation by duke Friedrich II of Anhalt, and renamed Friedrich-Theater in his honour. Destroyed by a fire on 5 Jan 1922, with only the façade surviving. Remains converted into a café and operated as Kaffee Altes Theater. Destroyed in World War II., #quickstatements;...)
