Built 1907-1909 as Königliches Hoftheater by Anton Karst and Hans Fanghänel for the Kingdom of Prussia. Opened 26 Aug 1909 with Albert Lortzing's Undine. After World War I renamed Preußisches Staatstheater. 1436 seats. Destroyed on 22 Oct 1943 by bombs. Remains demolished 1953. (English)
