Built 1935 as towboat Omar, used on the Ohio River. Converted into a showboat theatre named Rhododendron in 1963 for the West Virginia Centennial Commission. 250 seats. Since 1966 permanently moored at the Mississippi riverfront in Clinton, Iowa, and renamed City of Clinton Showboat Theatre, later renamed Clinton Area Showboat Theatre. Various rebuildings and renovations. (English)
