Built 1908-1909 as Konversationshaus with a theatre. Damaged by the Kurhaus fire on 29 Dec 1987. Subsequently restored. Re-opened 1989 as Kur- und Stadttheater. 498 seats. Used for opera and drama performances by Landestheater Detmold and other touring companies. (English)
