Statements
Built 1939-1947 by A.V. Shtchusev. Interior decoration by Usta Shirin Muradov, A. Khudaibergenov, Kh.Boltaev and others. Each of the six foyers is decorated in a style typical of a province of Uzbekistan (Tashkent hall, Bukhara hall, Khorezm hall ,Samarkand hall, Fergana hall, Termez hall). Opened in November 1947. Named in honour of the late 15th-century Uzbek scholar, poet, artist and composer, Alisher Navoi ('Ali Shir Nava'i, 1441-1501) (English)
