De stadsschaal behoorde oorspronkelijk tot het klooster van de paters recoletten en tot eind jaren '60 werd er hop gewogen, gekeurd en geperst. Sinds 1981 herbergt dit industrieel-archeologische complex het Hopmuseum. Hier werd ook op 21 maart 1941 Dirk Frimout geboren, eerste belg in de ruimte. (Dutch)
