Multi-purpose hall complex, built 1911-1914 by Paul Bonatz, Friedrich Eugen Scholer and Michael Kott. Opened 11 June 1914. Damaged by bombs in World War II. Subsequently rebuilt in modified form. 1947-1962 a side wing was the seat of the Niedersachsen state parliament. - The complex now known as Hannover Congress Centrum HCC includes several concert and multi-purpose halls: Kuppelsaal (3642 seats), Beethovensaal (753 seats) and Niedersachsenhalle. 1975 addition of another hall named Eilenriedehalle. 2015-2016 major renovation of Kuppelsaal. Used as a congress centre, for concerts, and for various other events. (English)
