In 2022 en 2023 vier(d)en verschillende cultuurcentra – al dan niet uitgesteld – hun 50-jarig bestaan. Cultuurcentra als de Schakel in Waregem, de Warande in Turnhout, Westrand in Dilbeek, Scharpoord in Knokke-Heist, en de Cultuurcentra van Hasselt, Neeroeteren, Sint-Truiden, Zolder en Strombeek waren de eerste ‘instellingen’ die uit de grond rezen na een Leuvense studie die concludeerde dat de culturele infrastructuur in Vlaanderen te verouderd, te beperkt en te sterk verzuild was. De rest is geschiedenis. Of niet ? (Dutch)
