Opened 30 May 1841 as Urania-Theater. 1844 renamed Actien-Theater. 1898 major facade rebuilding. 1863 renamed Varieté-Theater. 1884 renamed Ernst-Drucker-Theater after its director. 1941 renamed St.-Pauli-Theater (because of Nazi racism, as Ernst Drucker was Jewish; since 2011 the theatre uses the name affix ehemals Ernst-Drucker-Theater to commemorate this). 2016 major restoration.
