Variety theatre, built 1896 as an annexe to the Hotel Wittelsbach (located next to the Zeughaus). Opened 11 July 1896. 1927 converted into a cinema. 1937 re-converted into a live theatre. Destroyed by bombs in January 1945. Subsequently repaired and again used as a cinema from 1947. Closed 1954, subsequently demolished in favour of a department store building. (English)
