E’ il maggior teatro cittadino, eretto nel triennio 1886-88 dal­l’architetto Giuseppe Oliverio sull’area del vecchio teatro omo­nimo (architetto Cosimo Morel­li) risalente al 1782. Completamente restaurato nel 1928, sa subito un nuovo gene­rale restauro nel 1956. Adibito in prevalenza alle proiezioni cinematografiche, vi si tiene anche una breve stagione lirica carnevalesca, qualche con­certo e qualche rappresentazio­ne drammatica. Appartiene alla Delegazione del Teatro Coccia e ha una ca­pienza di 1279 posti. (Italian)
