+E’ un bellissimo teatro neoclassico, eretto dall’architetto Luigi Canonica sull’area di altro teatro risalente al 1668. Inaugurato nel 1810, è stato più volte restaurato nel corso dell’ottocento ed è oggi la sede di apprezzate stagioni liriche, di concerti, di spettacoli di prosa e del Festival pianistico intitolato ad Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (in alternanza con il Teatro Donizzetti di Bergamo).
