+Antico teatro storico ei’etto nel quadriennio 1748-51 dall’architetto Antonio Cugini. Abbellito e ampliato in seguito, fu completamente rifatto nel 1845 dall’architetto Giuseppe Japelli di cui si ammira ancora oggi la bella facciata. L’interno è stato completamente rifatto nel 1877 su disegno dell’architetto Achille Sfondrini e restaurato dopo i danni bellici del 1917. Ha una capacità di 938 posti e appartiene al Comune. E’ uno dei due teatri veneti facenti parte del circuito ETI. Nella capace sala del ridotto è stato costruito un piccolo teatro per le rappresentazioni del complesso teatrale universitario. Recentemente, è stato compieta- mente demolito per far posto ad un fabbricato destinato ad ospitare (Italian)
