Elegante teatro storico, eretto nel quinquennio 1841-46 su progetto dell’architetto Ireneo Aleandri, con modifiche di Marco Massimi, Giam- batista Carducci, Enrico Mazzola e Riccardo Gabrielli. Ha subito re­stauri nel 1861 e nel 1950. Vi si tiene una breve stagione li­rica annuale, concerti, spettacoli di prosa e anche proiezioni cinemato­grafiche. Appartiene al Comune e fa parte dei teatri del circuito ETI e di quelli compresa nell’area di ser­vizio del Teatro Stabile dell’Aquila. Ha una capienza di 1000 posti cir­ca e vi sono annessi i locali della Società Filarmonica con un capace salone per concerti e conferenze. (Italian)
