Le Théâtre historique de la Ville d’Albi fut inauguré en 1893, typique des théâtres dits « à l’italienne » : avec son parterre, son balcon, son salon d’honneur, ses dorures et ses velours rouges. Un lieu marqué par plus d’un siècle de spectacles et l’un des coeurs de la vie artistique albigeoise. Ce théâtre comprend une salle de 504 places et un plateau de 8 mètres d’ouverture. La siègerie du Théâtre des Lices a été entièrement rénovée par la Ville d’Albi en 2011. (English)
