Pour le réglage des lampes à incandescence, on avait recours à un jeu de résistances fort bien disposé (fig. 91). Les fils de résistance placés dans une grande caisse à jour pouvaient être introduits progressivement dans chaque circuit à l'aide d'une série de poignées placées sur une table au dessus de la caisse, sur la table, des inscriptions indiquaient à quel circuit correspondait chaque poignée. En outre, les extrémités de toutes les poignées s'appuyaient sur une mème barre à l'aide de laquelle on pouvait les manœuvrer toutes ensemble, soit à la main, et d'un seul coup, soit progressivement à l'aide d'une vis fixée sur le bord de la table.
