Time frames are used for selection and showing a specific series of items on a timeline. They give users more context and can be useful for buildings where exact dates are not available.

Time frames can include general history frames, art time frames, technical timeframes or local ones. We chose to define 10 general time frames as part of the value list, but you can add timeframes for your own specific use, without adding them to the value list. (They will show up in the list below the [[Item:Q30|value list (Q30]].

Specifically for documents, we want to clarify that the time frame is the period the document is about, and not the period of publishing!
