Antico teatro storico risalente alla seconda metà del seicento. Più volte restaurato nel corso dei suoi tre secoli di vita, ha subito un com­pleto rifacimento fra il 1913 e il 1920 ad opera dell’architetto Felice Mario Donghi. (Italian)
Built 1678 by Tommaso Bezzi. Opened 1678 as Teatro San Giovanni Grisostomo with Carlo Pallavicino's opera Vespasiano. 1797 renamed Teatro Civico. 1834 restorations, renamed Teatro Emeronitto. 1837 renamed Teatro Malibran in honour of the Spanish opera singer, María Malibrán (1808-1836). 1992 restorations and additions. Since 2001, used for opera performances by the Teatro La Fenice opera company. (English)
