Built 1887 by František Buldra. Opened as Městské Divadlo. 350 seats. 1958-1965 major rebuilding and addition of a new hall with 650 seats by Václav Drozda. 1965 renamed in honour of the Czech politician and writer, Ivan Olbracht (1882-1852). 1990 renamed in honour of the Czech composer and conductor, Oskar Nedbal (1874-1930). The Táborské Theater is a Central European rarity. It has a single stage with two rectangular attached auditoriums. The smaller one, which is located in a historic building, is designed for chamber music performances and recitals.
